Sports offer some of the most difficult scenarios for photographers. Sometimes that basketball game is played in a lighting cave. Sometimes you’re in the line of fire (looking at you, lacrosse). Regardless of the event, I believe it’s important to tell the story beyond the box-score and to build a visual relationship with the team. That typically means being the first to the field and the last one out.
