Monday is my favorite day of the week. I'm not insane., it's my off day. The one day of the week I where the extent of my responsibility extends no further than feeding the cat.
Mondays are me days. Sometimes I eat McDonald's and play video games all day. Sometimes I go for a long run or tackle a few more hills on my bike. Sometimes I don't get out of bed until the Sun goes back down.
No matter what I do, my Mondays are what get me through my week.
Today I went for a drive. I just got in my Jeep and drove.
East Alabama is beautiful by car. The air is fresh. The other drivers wave as you drive by. The county roads hug the land as it gently rolls across the plain. The country stores stay stocked up on David Sunflower Seeds.
Auburn turned into Lochapoka. Lochapoka turned into Notasulga. Notasulga turned into Tallassee.
When I got to Tallassee I got out a couple times to check on old photo spots. The Talisi hotel. The ruined, west bank Civil War armory. The enormous textile mill on the east bank. The Tallapoosa flowing lazily away from the monstrous dam. The bridge that watches over it all.
I didn't bring my gear with me, but I had my iPhone in my pocket and took a few photos. I'm going to shut up and let them do the talking.
Everything taken with iPhone4s and edited in LR, except the last pic which was with my 300s and HDRPro in CS5.
